Wet Cleaning now
We over 5 years ago added Wet Cleaning to our business which a number of others now promote as Dry to Dry Cleaning or Organic Dry Cleaning which isn’t true. Dry Cleaning means the “Absence of Water” in the cleaning process. Dry to Dry is a sales pitch that means little when your garments are destroyed or damaged
Wet Cleaning does use Water and is an option that works but not on all garments and sometimes Dry Cleaning is the only safe and effective method that should be used on garments that say “Dry Clean only”.
Environment
We have had Wet Cleaning, incorrectly called Organic Dry Cleaning and often Green Dry Cleaning since 2020 which is an environmentally friendly alternative to dry cleaning. It isn’t Dry Cleaning as that means the absence of Water. Wet cleaning is a bit like washing and unlike Dry Cleaning uses no harmful chemicals or solvents as do the many of other Dry-Cleaning methods. Its uses smaller amounts of water and advanced detergents tailored to the wash type to produce a safer gentler clean. We then hang Dry (Not Tumble Dry as is common with other operators) in our processing area and press, hang and bag. You can ask us if your garments can be Wet Cleaned as not all garments can be safely Wet Cleaned, again contrary to many claims that you can Wet Clean anything that has Dry Clean on the care label, in fact some garments specifically hate Water and will loose dye’s, shrink, lose shape or worse.
